LYNN — La Familia Market was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday night.
Police responded to 602 Summer St. shortly before 7:30 p.m. and learned that a man had entered the store, pointed a handgun at the 40-year-old female clerk, and demanded money, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
The man came around the counter, took cash from the register and some cigarettes, and then fled the store, Kmiec said.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man who appeared to be in his 20s.
