The Swampscott girls soccer team fought to a 2-2 tie Saturday at Hoosac Valley High School.

Swampscott scored in the sixth minute when Mackenzie Kearney, assisted by Sydney Clark, gave the Blue a quick 1-0 lead. However, Hoosac tied it in the 48th minute on a goal by Skylar Case, assisted by Alle Mendel.

Swampscott took what looked to be a secure 2-1 lead in the 75th minute when Haley Bernhardt scored with an assist by Grace DiGrande. However, Hoosac Valley responded just two minutes later, with Shaleigh Levesque doing the honors.

Coach Alvi Ibanez said Sarah Tribendis had a tremendous game at holding midfield while Sydney Clark was solid as an offensive midfielder. As an outside midfielder, Alison Tribendis showed great stamina while making offensive runs and recovery runs, he said.
