PEABODY — An 83-year-old man drove through a plate glass window at Kappy’s liquor store on Route 114 Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Operator error was the likely cause of the accident, which remains under investigation, according to Peabody Police Captain Dennis Bonaiuto.
The driver was taken to Lahey Medical Center in Peabody for observation, but Bonaiuto said he did not believe the man suffered any serious injuries. He was the only occupant of the 2000 Toyota Camry, the captain said.
