LYNN — The Lynn Police Relief Association recently presented awards to two deserving citizens and a veteran detective from the Lynn Police Department.

Charlie Rozopoulos was presented with the Citizens Award for his bravery as he and others assisted an MBTA bus driver who was violently attacked on May 20, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.

George Markos, owner of Brothers Deli, was presented with the Community Service Award for his continuous generosity and support to the citizens of Lynn, Kmiec said.

Detective Stephen Pohle was presented with the Lynn Police Relief Association Medal of Honor, the highest award presented to a member of the Lynn Police Department. Pohle has been with the department for 24 years, Kmiec said.
