LYNN — A food delivery driver said he was able to fend off a man trying to rob him at knifepoint on Jackson Street Sunday night.
Police responded to the reported robbery shortly after 11 p.m. The victim, a 50-year-old Lynn man, got out of his vehicle and was making a delivery on Jackson Street when the suspect came up to him, showed a knife and demanded money, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
The victim refused to hand over any money and after a brief struggle with the suspect, the man ran off with nothing, Kmiec said.
The incident is under investigation.
