LYNN — Two Lynn men were arrested on drug possession charges at their residence Tuesday morning.
Frederick Wooten, 52, was charged with two counts of Class B (cocaine) drug possession with intent to distribute, two counts of Class C (pills) drug possession with intent to distribute and Class A (heroin) drug possession.
James Wooten, 50, was charged with Class B (cocaine) drug possession with intent to distribute, Class D (marijuana) drug possession with intent to distribute and Class A (heroin) possession.
At approximately 6 a.m., the Lynn Police Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 23 Jefferson St. following an ongoing investigation into drug activity at the residence and seized cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin, marijuana, a variety of pills — percocet, hydrocodone, suboxone and alprazolam (Xanax) — cash and scales, Kmiec said.
A total of $1,825 in cash was seized from the warrant and during the booking process after the arrests, but values for the amounts of each drug seized were not available. A possible firearm was also recovered, but it was sent for ballistic testing before any related charges are sought, Kmiec said.
