LYNN — Destiny Rodriguez of Lynn will participate in the 2017 Miss Junior Teen pageant competition that will take place on Sunday, Nov. 26.
She will compete for her share of thousands of dollars in prizes and specialty gifts that will be distributed to contestants. Rodriguez will be competing in one of four divisions for girls and young women ages 7-20.
Contestants compete in modeling routines, including casual and formal wear. Rodriguez and other contestants will also highlight their personalities and interviewing skills in front of the judges. Personality is the No. 1 aspect that each contestant is judged on during the competition.
A win for Rodriguez in Miss Junior Teen will send her to the national competition in Orlando, Fla., where more than $30,000 in prizes and awards will be awarded. Each winner enjoys an expense-paid trip for five nights and six days in Orlando.
Rodriguez and her family hope to secure help from businesses, organizations, and private donors to help her participate in this year’s competition by becoming her official sponsor. Through sponsorship, each contestant receives all the necessary training, rehearsals, and financial support which will allow contestants to be well prepared to compete in the pageant with maximum confidence.
Any business, organization, or private individual who may be interested in becoming a sponsor to Destiny Rodriguez may contact the Miss Junior Teen pageant coordinator at 1-877-910-4190 and/or visit her GoFundMe page at https://www.gofundme.com/miss-teen-boston.
