LYNN — Two Lynn men were arrested on drug trafficking charges after police seized a large amount of heroin and cocaine from two residences on Tuesday morning.
Walin Arias and Jhonny Gonzalez were arrested following a joint investigation coordinated among Lynn Police and several different agencies, including the department’s Drug Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration and State Police, said Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec.
Police executed a search warrant at 16 Lander St., where both men are listed as residing, and seized 95 bags of heroin, 32 bags of cocaine and $3,639 in cash. The investigation also led authorities to execute a second search warrant at 21 Columbia Ave., where they seized approximately 279 grams of heroin and 61 grams of cocaine, Kmiec said.
Arias, 37, was charged with three counts of heroin distribution, heroin trafficking over 36 grams and cocaine trafficking over 18 grams.
Gonzalez, 32, was charged with heroin trafficking over 36 grams, heroin trafficking over 200 grams, cocaine trafficking over 18 grams, cocaine trafficking over 36 grams, heroin distribution, conspiracy to violate the drug law, disguise to obstruct justice and on warrants.
