LYNN — A 32-year-old Peabody man has been arrested for robbing Santander Bank on Tuesday morning.
Kenyatta Brown was charged with armed robbery. He turned himself into Lynn Police on Wednesday night, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
“He was fully cooperative and turned himself in voluntarily,” Kmiec said.
Police responded to Santander Bank, located at 39 Exchange St., shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and learned that the suspect had handed a note to the 33-year-old female clerk, which said that he had a gun. The clerk handed approximately $500 in cash over to him. No weapon was shown during the robbery, Kmiec said.
