LYNN — A single-car crash sent two people to the hospital Thursday night, according to the Lynn Police Department.
Lynn Police Lt. Christopher Kelly said the car struck a pile of snow, a light pole and a guard rail at 7:39 p.m. in front of 1069 Western Ave. before rolling over.
The occupants were trapped in the vehicle. They were removed and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The driver has life-threatening injuries while the passenger was seriously hurt, police said. It’s unclear what caused the accident.
In a separate case, Boston Police said a 32-year-old Lynn man has been charged with vehicular homicide a week after a deadly crash in Jamaica Plain.
Police said Joseph Kayode was driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed near the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Heath Street.
Emanuel Cabral, 56, was pronounced dead on scene when officers found the wreck shortly at 4:49 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 22.
Kayode is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Roxbury District Court.
