The Northeastern Conference released its hockey all-stars for 2017-2018 Tuesday. Beverly’s Paul Edson and Justin Shairs are the player and coach the year, respectively. Peabody won the sportsmanship award.
The all-conference team includes Edson, Danvers’ Yegor Bublik, Matt Taylor and Connor Purtell, Swampscott’s Stevie Santanello and Medford’s Jack Lonergan.
The all-stars are Danvers’ Bublik, Purtell, Taylor, Tom Mento, Jared Mscisz and Nic DiScullio; Winthrop’s Henry Brooks, Sam Yarrow, Bryce Costin and Ryan Scokzyolas; Marblehead’s Jacob Garfield and Peter Santeusanio; Peabody’s Nick Capillo; Lynn’s Brian Clougherty, Mike Clougherty, John DiFilippo and Sean Devin; Revere’s Mike Goroshko, Cam Mazza and Matt Cravotta; Everett’s Jason Cardinale; Gloucester’s Sam Poliskey, John Mondello, Ethan Brennan, EJ Field, Jared Morris and Chris Noyes; Swampscott’s Santanello, Dan Johnson, Dom Codispoti and Brett Benoit; Somerville’s Chris DeSousa, Austin Pacheco and Jeremy Procter; Medford’s Lonergan, Cole Brennan, Gino DeSimone and Will Chouinard; Beverly’s Edson, Tim McCarthy, Connor Hanlon and Ryan Munzing; Saugus John Torres, CJ Graffeo and Nick Sanderson.
The NEC All-Star game will be played Saturday (1:30) at Salem State. The skills contest will take place at 12:30, preceding the game.
