MARBLEHEAD — Our Lady, Star of the Sea parish, presents a four-day Lenten mission beginning on Sunday, March 11, through Wednesday, March 14, 7 to 8 p.m., in the main church, 85 Atlantic Avenue.
The mission theme is “Rekindling the Fire,” offering an opportunity to deepen participants’ relationships with Christ. The featured speaker will be the Rev. Jack Conley, C.P., a Passionist Priest visiting from Chicago.
Each evening will include hymns, scripture readings, prayer and a sermon which will be preached on the great themes of Scripture. On Tuesday evening, the Sacrament of Penance will be offered. The mission will conclude on Wednesday evening with a social in the Parish Center.
In addition to leading the Lenten mission, Father Conley will celebrate weekend Masses on March 10 and 11, and will also celebrate the 9 a.m. Mass on March 12, 13 and 14.
