LYNN — A two-alarm fire damaged a three-family home on Cottage Street Friday morning.

A Lynn Water & Sewer Commission crew was in the neighborhood checking on water damage in the area, spotted the fire at shortly after 9 a.m. and called the Fire Department.

“We have all crews working right now and making progress,” said Fire Chief Stephen Archer. “There appears to be fire in the attic that is concerning us.”

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is unknown, Archer said.

A police cruiser was the first to arrive at the scene where officers saw flames shooting out the upstairs windows, according to Police Sgt. Henry Wojewodzic.

The home is owned by Juan Aguiluz and David Ramos, according to city property records.
