SALEM — – Gillian’s Foods will add five new gluten-free items to the Market Basket bakery.
Gillian’s Foods has expanded their product line to include six packs of mini chocolate cupcakes, mini vanilla cupcakes, mini blueberry muffins, mini coffee cake muffins and a two pack of mini whoopie pies.
The partnership between the two Massachusetts-based companies originally started with garlic croutons, then expanded last year to include the four packs of regular size cupcakes and an assorted pack of a dozen mini cupcakes available in the freezer section.
“We’re very happy to expand the items available in Market Basket stores. They’re great at supporting local manufactures and we believe that customers will really enjoy these new mini packs,” said Bob Otolo, owner of Gillian’s Foods.
The company has been family owned and operated since 1996 and offers over thirty gluten free products such as pastas, sandwich breads, onion rolls, pizza dough, cakes, and pies. Its dedicated gluten free, tree nut free, and peanut free facility is located in Salem.
