The fourth nor’easter of March is expected to storm into the North Shore by mid-day Wednesday. As of Tuesday afternoon, few area schools announced any closures or early dismissals. Parking, however, is a different story, with some already announcing bans. Here’s the latest, updated at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday.
School openings/closings
- Lynn schools will be open.
- Nahant has canceled Wednesday afternoon and evening activities
- Revere schools will be open, according to the Fire Department.
- Saugus has canceled all Wednesday afternoon activities and municipal meetings.
- UMass Boston canceled all activities and events after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Parking Bans
- Lynn will begin a parking ban at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Residents can park in school lots.
- Peabody will begin a parking ban at 7 a.m. Wednesday.
- Revere will begin a parking ban at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Transit and travel
- The MBTA will run regular subway and ferry service. Buses may operate on a snow route.
- The Ride will operate on a normal schedule.
- The Commuter Rail will operate on a regular schedule.
- Logan Airport will be open, but check with your airline for any news on delays or cancellations.
