Parade season is coming to Saugus

SAUGUS — Several roads will be closed on Saturday, April 21 for both the Saugus National Little League and Saugus American Little League opening day parades and ceremonies.

The Saugus National Little League parade will step off at 9 a.m. at Oaklandvale Elementary School on Main Street. It will continue on Main Street to Elks Field, located at 401 Main St.

The Saugus American Little League opening day parade will step off at 9 a.m. from Anna Parker Playground and continue on Essex Street to Lincoln Avenue, Central Street, Hurd Avenue, and end at Grabowski Field.

Additionally, roads will be closed a month later for the Saugus Veterans Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies on May 26.

The Memorial Day Parade will step off from Jackson Street to Lincoln Avenue, Central Street, Winter Street to Riverside Cemetery.

From the cemetery, the parade will continue on Winter Street to Central Street to Town Hall, where a ceremony will be held.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead and avoid these areas.
