LYNN — Three School Superintendent finalists will come to the city for site visits beginning Wednesday.
Last week, Mayor Thomas M. McGee announced the three finalists for the superintendent position; Lynn Deputy Superintendent Patrick Tutwiler; Marice M. Edouard-Vincent, who serves as instructional superintendent for Boston Public Schools; and Jessica L. Huizenga, Achieve3000 director of strategic engagement.
Each visit will include visits to Lynn’s public schools, followed by a public “meet and greet” session.
Edouard-Vincent will be in Lynn on Wednesday, with the site visit concluding with a 4 p.m. public session at Thurgood Marshall Middle School.
Huizenga will visit Lynn on Thursday, which will conclude with a 4 p.m. public session at Marshall Middle School.
Site visits will conclude on Friday, with Tutwiler visiting schools. His public session will be held at 4 p.m. at Marshall.
Public interviews, where the candidates will interview with the School Committee, will take place next week on Monday and Tuesday.
Huizenga will be interviewed on Monday at 6 p.m. On Tuesday, Edouard-Vincent will be interviewed at 6 p.m., followed by Tutwiler at 7:30 p.m.
Superintendent Dr. Catherine C. Latham will retire at the end of the school year. The school budget lists her salary at $207,000.
The finalists were chosen by a 12-member search committee, which includes McGee, the chairman of the School Committee.
The search is being coordinated by Glenn Koocher, executive director of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees (MASC), the firm that has been hired for the process.
The new superintendent is expected to be hired by June 1.
