SAUGUS– Town Manager Scott Crabtree and Police Chief Domenic DiMella have announced the hiring of four new Saugus police officers. Officers Christopher Zelinski, Renato Defreitas, Brittany Naumann, and Nicola Fabrizio were recently sworn in at Town Hall.

“I am proud to appoint Officers Zelinski, Defreitas, Naumann, and Fabrizio to the Saugus Police Department,” Crabtree said. “These officers will be a great asset to the town and I wish them the best success in their new positions.”

Officers Naumann and Fabrizio were previously employed as civilian dispatchers for the Town of Saugus. Zelinski was previously employed with North Hampton Police Department in New Hampshire. Defreitas currently serves in the United States Naval Reserves.

“Officers Christopher Zelinski, Renato Defreitas, Brittany Naumann, and Nicola Fabrizio did very well in the Police Academy and I am impressed with all four new officers,” said DiMella. “They will be a great addition to the Saugus Police Department and they look forward to protecting and serving the citizens of Saugus.”
