Lynn English’s ROTC drill team finishes fifth in national competition

LYNN — The English High School Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps drill team placed fifth overall at the 2018 All Service National High School Drill Team Championship in Daytona Beach May 5 and 6.

Competing with 20 other teams from across the nation, the English Lady Bulldogs placed third

in Unarmed Inspection; third in Unarmed Commander Award (Rosa Pinto); third in Unarmed Dual Exhibition (Alicia Donoso and Mirelys Feliciano); fourth in Unarmed Regulation; fifth in Unarmed Platoon Exhibition.  

The team also brought home seven individual drill medals: First place in Armed Individual Drill (Erignacio Fermin); second place in Armed Individual Drill (Phat Hoang); second place in Unarmed Individual Drill (Stephany Estrada); third place in Unarmed Individual Drill (Tyler Generazzo); fifth place in Unarmed Individual Drill (Yinelky Rosario); eighth place in Unarmed Individual Drill (Janae Cole); tenth place in Unarmed Individual Drill (Erignacio Fermin).
