NAHANT — A man who fell while working on a roof Monday morning is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Shortly before 8:30 a.m., the Nahant Fire Department received a call that a man had fallen from a ladder at the Rockledge Apartments on Willow Road, near the intersection of Wharf Street.
Upon arrival, responding units from Ladder 31 and Ambulance 34 located an injured 59-year-old man on the first floor roof the building, according to a statement from the department.
Firefighters lifted their aerial ladder to the roof and provided aid to the man, who was conscious and alert, but had suffered injuries to his leg and head.
The man was secured in a rescue basket and lowered down the ladder before he was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
