SAUGUS — Incoming sixth graders are learning the ropes at the Belmonte Middle School. During a three-day orientation, the students took in the basics of stepping up from an elementary school student to a middle-schooler.
From school pride and working as a team to tasks as simple as opening a lock on a locker, the new sixth graders learned what they needed to know to start off a new school year the right way.
