Caller reported a black vehicle was in front of her home at 24 Upton Lane on Tuesday at 10:33 p.m. She asked why he was there. He explained he received some bad news and pulled off the highway to process it. Caller asked him to leave the area and he did. She asked that police check the area. Officer confirmed vehicle has left the neighborhood.
A well-being check was requested on Wednesday at 8:56 a.m. from 6 Center Village. Officer reports resident is fine.
MARBLEHEAD
Arrest
Michael Grimes, 60, of 323 Maple St., Middleton, was arrested and charged with use of a motor vehicle without authority, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and leaving the scene of property damage at 5:02 p.m. on Wednesday.

A report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash with a USPS driver who fled the scene of property damage at Pleasant and Spring streets at 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
Complaints
A caller reported a male in his 40s with a beard and mustache was in their yard and left toward Goldthwait Road at 8:08 a.m. on Wednesday. The caller stated the man was peeking through the bushes before they chased him down the street and saw which house he went into. Responding officers arrived to the scene where they found him running. Officers advised him to go back to the caller’s house and clean up the mess he left. The man was then verbally issued a no trespass.
A caller reported medication was stolen from their vehicle on Bessom Street at 9:39 a.m. on Wednesday.
A caller reported at 11:25 a.m. on Wednesday a white van parked out front of Pleasant Street that was “killing their business.” Responding officers arrived to find the van gone.
A caller reported receiving a scam call at 2:33 p.m. on Wednesday that her son was in Peru in the hospital and he needed her to send money.
A caller reported a verbal dispute on Ocean Avenue at 4:52 p.m. on Wednesday.
A walk-in reported a well-dressed elderly man was headed outbound hitchhiking and holding onto some kind of sign at Atlantic and Ocean avenues at 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday. Responding officers were unable to locate him.
A caller reported his phone was taken from his car sometime earlier in the day on Peabody Lane at 5:34 p.m. on Wednesday. He stated he does not know where it was taken from as he was out doing errands all day.
A walk-in reported at 6:31 p.m. on Wednesday that she has been receiving emails regarding the purchase of items she did not purchase.
A caller reported a neighbor was having guests over on Bartlett Street at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday and one of them parked on his property.
A caller reported there was loud music being played at Wick’s on Pleasant Street and it was disturbing his peace. Responding officers spoke to the restaurant which in turn shut its windows and turned down the music.

Animal Control
Caller left a message about consistent, horrible animal noises coming from 80 North St. on Tuesday at 6:50 p.m. Caller was unsure if dog had been left outside or abused but the whimpering and wailing breaks her heart and makes it unpleasant to sit or walk outside. Sometimes it sounds like two dogs fighting, she said, followed by more whimpering. Officer checked the area but the complaint was unfounded.
Dog barking complaint was reported on Tuesday at 11:18 p.m. at 9 Stockton Road. Animal Control officer reports no dogs heard and house is dark.
Crossing guard at Walgreens at 35 Main St. reported a dog on the street on Wednesday at 12:07 p.m. Bianca, a Shih Tzu, was returned to her owner who was issued a verbal warning for the loose dog.
Two calls received on Tuesday at 8:27 a.m. about a loose, black dog with a leash attached at the Container Store at 210 Andover St. Animal Control officer unavailable. Mall security will check.
Caller left a voicemail for the Animal Control officer that a dog was found with license no. 1001 on Tuesday at 12:52 p.m. Caller left phone number to be contacted by owner.

Jason C. Duletta, 31, of 4 Jordan St., Apt. 1, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
Reynaldo J. Cruz, 30, of 2 Marl St., Apt. 2, Jamaica Plain, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering during the nighttime for a felony, malicious destruction of property worth more than $1,200, resisting arrest, and disturbing the peace.
Luis Manuel Oliva, 34, of 49 Bradstreet Ave., was arrested on warrant charges.

A caller reported he parked his car next to a white Audi at Walmart and a person in the back seat of the Audi stated that he had a firearm and he was going to shoot him at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday. Police report speaking to all involved and retrieving an item from the vehicle and, upon further investigation, determined it not to be a firearm.
A Dudley Street resident reported a man with tattoos on his face came to his front door and asked for a ride to Canton at 10:29 p.m. Wednesday. The caller reported the man was black, had one shoe on, and looked like he got into a physical altercation with someone.
