Complaints
A caller reported a Bill’s Auto driver goes by his home on Washington Street every morning and throws metal at and near his truck. At 9:44 a.m. on Thursday, the caller and the driver got into a verbal argument.
A walk-in reported she was driving onto Maple Street last week and the light was yellow and she stated the crossing guard suddenly stepped out in front of her and forced her to brake quickly. She stated she was not going fast and was surprised by his actions. She stated on Thursday morning she was a pedestrian and was talking to the crossing guard when the light turned yellow and he suddenly stepped out into traffic again. She stated she yelled at him to stop but it appeared he did not hear her. The responding officer stated they were already aware of the situation.
A bartender from an establishment on Pleasant Street called to report a female at the bar who had too much to drink. The caller stated she was not causing a disturbance but she would be unable to take care of herself if she were to leave by herself. Officers responded and had her transported to North Shore Medical Center in Salem.
A caller reported at 3:20 p.m. on Thursday that his computer was hacked and money was taken from his bank, which activated a number of fraud alerts.
A caller reported boys on bikes riding on the tennis courts at Wyman Road and causing damage to the nets at 3:23 p.m. on Thursday. Responding officers spoke to the only boy on a bike in the area and he denied riding on the courts or causing any damage.
A walk-in came in at 4:26 p.m. on Thursday with her daughter and asked to speak to someone regarding bullying in the high school. She was advised about a harassment protection order.
Multiple calls reported a neighbor on Elm Street screaming for help and saying something about her leg being stuck at 10:11 p.m. on Thursday. Responding crews requested the Health Department because they believed the structure is unsafe for her to stay in. She was transported to a hospital and her house was deemed unsafe to live in.
