Several callers reported a man operating a large, white van struck a barrier at the center median on Washington Street near Dunkin’ Donuts on Tuesday at 7:17 p.m. and fled onto Highland Avenue in Salem. Officer reports vehicle was stopped by Salem police at the Irving Gas Station on Highland Avenue. Operator told police his window was foggy and he could not see the damage.
A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Tuesday at 8:49 p.m. at Speedway at 545 Lowell St. Officer reports one operator was taken to Lahey Medical Center.
Animal Control
A loose dog was reported on Tuesday at 8:07 p.m. at Pete’s A Place at 19A Central St. Caller has the dog secured on the one-way that runs along Pete’s. Officer reports dog has a tag with owner phone number, but the number is out of service. Dog was reunited with its owner.
