SAUGUS — Matthew Crescenzo, candidate for state representative in the 9th Essex District received the endorsement of U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton (D-Salem).

Moulton is the U.S. representative in Washington for Saugus, Wakefield, and Lynn.
“Matthew Crescenzo has a proven ability to lead,” Moulton said in a statement. “In the Army, he led soldiers from South Korea to the front lines of Afghanistan. Now, he’s stepping up to serve again.

“Matt has the courage to be honest about the problems we face, put people over politics, and get things done for the residents of the 9th Essex District,” said Moulton. “He is an independent thinker who will meet with constituents, hear their concerns, and always put the needs of the district ahead of partisan politics. I am proud to endorse Matt in his race for state representative.”

Crescenzo said he was honored to have the endorsement of a fellow War on Terror veteran and congressman.
“Having a state representative with the support of, and a good working relationship with, the U.S. representative for our district can only be positive for the residents of Saugus, Wakefield, and Lynn,” said Crescenzo. “My goal is to roll up my sleeves and get to work serving the people of our community.”
Crescenzo is a U.S. Army veteran who served overseas in South Korea and Afghanistan as a communications specialist and personal security officer.
