Elijah Johnson, 31, of 100 Light St., was arrested and charged with two counts of drug possession with intent to distribute and resisting arrest at 7:09 p.m. Friday.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 2 p.m. Friday at Naugus Avenue and Mound Road. A caller reported he struck a tree on Naugus Avenue the previous night. He didn’t know if it was a private or public tree, but said there was no damage to it; at 6:31 p.m. Friday on Tedesco Street. An erratic operator headed toward Salem/Swampscott was reported to police; at 8:36 a.m. Saturday on Front Street.
Breaking and Entering
A report of a breaking and entering at 8:44 a.m. Saturday on Leggs Hill Road. A construction worker reported his trailer and the work site were broken into overnight. Multiple tools were stolen from the site.
Complaints
A caller reported there were two older women on his doorstep going through his outgoing mail at 11:27 a.m. Friday on Londonderry Road. The caller reported he watched from his kitchen window before he went to the door. The women reportedly identified themselves as Jehovah’s Witnesses and were asking too many questions, according to the caller. He asked them to leave and were concerned about their action of going through the mail.
A caller reported an SUV with people inside smoking weed at 8:44 p.m. Friday on Front Street.
A report of suspicious activity at 3:16 a.m. Saturday on Washington Street. A caller reported there was a silver sedan in the middle of the street with its hazards on. She said there were three men trying to get into the front door of her neighbor’s house. The men then reportedly got back into the car and took off.
A report of an unresponsive man in the bushes at 12:42 p.m. Saturday on Prospect Street. A caller reported a man lying in the bushes with his eyes open, but he had no pulse. The person was taken to Salem Hospital.

A report of suspicious activity at 2:49 p.m. Saturday at 8 Starbard Terrace. A caller reported a man driving a black vehicle went to the door and told her 11-year-old daughter he was their mailman. An officer reported the person was a temporary mail carrier; at 2:52 p.m. Saturday at 3 John Road. The fire department received a call from the resident that a suspicious item was found in his yard. An officer took possession of the item; at 3:04 p.m. Saturday at Newbury Comics at 210N Andover St. Police received a report of a suspicious person who may have exposed themselves; at 10:37 p.m. Saturday at Northshore Mall at 210N Andover St. A caller reported hearing 10 to 12 gunshots in the area between the Terrace Estates and the mall. An officer reported there were fireworks in the area; at 11:28 p.m. Saturday at 7-Eleven at 79 Lowell St. Police received a report of a man wearing a red jacket, cream colored tie and without pants on running down Main Street in the vicinity of the library headed downtown. Shortly later, the same man was reported at the 7-Eleven on Lowell Street. Police checked both areas but couldn’t find the man.

A missing doll was reported; at 4:54 p.m. Friday at YMCA at 259 Lynnfield St. A theft from the locker room was reported; at 12:55 p.m. Saturday at YMCA at 259 Lynnfield St. A caller reported his credit cards were stolen from his locker and there was an attempt to use them at the Apple Store.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 9:18 p.m. Friday at Stonewood Tavern at 139 Lynnfield St. A caller reported his car tires were slashed; at 10:36 a.m. Saturday at 2 Gates Road. A caller reported five to six inflatable Christmas decorations were damaged the previous night. The suspect fled the area in a small, black car.
