December 8, 2018 by rscalese

The person whose burned body was discovered near a Lynn park has been identified as a 29-year-old man.

The Essex County District Attorney identified the victim as Tito Lopez-Ebanks of Lynn. City police, State Police troopers, and the DA’s office are still investigating the case.

A neighbor walking his dog found the burned remains on Friday. The remains were next to Frey Park off of Walnut Avenue, tucked among he trees between the park and Breeds Pond. Unable to believe what he saw, he called a neighbor and then police.

Another witness told The Daily Item a tree was also burned near the body.
