NASHUA — The victim of a fatal car accident in Nashua, N.H., on Friday has been identified as Saugus native Justin Petkewich.

Shortly before 2 a.m. on Dec. 7, Nashua police responded to the area of 17 Kinsley St. for the report of a single-vehicle collision. Police located a blue Chrysler 200 in the middle of Kinsley Street.

The driver and single occupant, Petkewich, age 35, was dead at the scene, according to a statement from police. Saugus police confirmed Petkewich was a Saugus native.

Based upon the preliminary investigation, it appears that before the collision, Petkewich’s car  was traveling east on Kinsley Street. The car began to leave the roadway and struck several trees on the north side of Kinsley Street. After striking the trees, the car then struck the side of 17 Kinsley St. and a parked vehicle, according to a statement from Nashua police. There were no other injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by Nashua Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Team in conjunction with detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division.

The Nashua Police Department requests anyone with more information about this incident to contact the Crime Line at (603) 589-1665.
