LYNN — The Lynn Fire Department has received a $3,284 FM Global Fire Prevention grant for the purchase of iPads with accessories and software, which will be used for fire investigations.

A brief ceremony was held at the Lynn Fire Department headquarters on Western Avenue on Tuesday morning.

“The Lynn Fire Department would like to thank FM Global for their generous donation, which was used to purchase two iPad Pros with keyboards, cases and (Apple) pencils,” said Lynn Fire Capt. Joseph Zukas. “They will be used by our fire investigators at fire scenes and is a step towards using technology to enhance our fire investigations.”
