SAUGUS — Route 1 North in Saugus was reopened Wednesday after a fuel leak caused the northbound side of the highway to shut down.
A tanker truck with a minor fuel leak near Kappy’s Liquors caused the backup, shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to State Police Spokesman David Procopio.
All lanes were closed for about half an hour.
