Complaints
A caller reported she was crossing her daughter in the crosswalk at Shepard Street and Turner Road and a white Honda failed to stop, almost striking her daughter at 8:12 a.m. on Tuesday. She stated she said something to the driver and he took off.
A caller reported a flatbed truck was stuck on Lee Street and traffic was unable to get through at 10:04 a.m. on Tuesday.
An officer reported observing an erratic operator travel across the double yellow lines and slam on her brakes repeatedly at Lafayette Street and West Shore Drive at 12:24 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle was stopped and the officer issued a verbal warning.
A caller reported she located a needle on the beach near Stramski Way at 3:27 p.m. on Tuesday. Responding officers retrieved it.
A caller reported at 5:01 p.m. on Tuesday that her son just “up and left” without speaking to anyone and she was concerned he went to Ohio to meet a girl there. She stated when she checked with the local police there, they advised her to contact her local department. She stated her son had not picked up the phone all day and she was concerned something happened to him. By 5:28 p.m., officers responded and found everything to be clear.
A caller reported there was a suspicious male that came into their Ocean Avenue establishment and was asking a bunch of questions about dogs at 6:44 p.m. on Tuesday. They stated after asking the questions, the man hung by the door and didn’t leave. He was not in the area upon the arrival of responding officers.

Arrest
Daniel R. O’Brien, 31, of 38 Tracey St. was arrested at McDonald’s Restaurant at 133 Main St. on Monday at 7:45 p.m. and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, speeding, and failure to stop/yield.
Summons
Wendrel Dossantos, 18, of 13 Wonderland Ave., Saugus, was summoned following a motor vehicle stop on Monday at 10:25 p.m. at 73 Washington St. for the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Single-car motor vehicle crash with an injury reported on Tuesday at Long’s Jewelers at 35 Cross St. on Tuesday at 12:19 a.m. Officer reports stop sign damaged while vehicle was exiting the mall onto Cross Street. Operator was driven to Danvers.

Caller from 12 Crowninshield St. reports a vehicle parked in the handicapped parking space on Monday at 10:27 a.m. Officer spoke with the vehicle’s owner and she moved the car.
A 911 caller requested an ambulance for an intoxicated person at Peabody Steakhouse at 150 Main St. on Monday at 5:48 p.m. Officer reports person not causing an issue at this time, but said he would only leave by ambulance.
Caller from Plaza Motel at 125 Newbury St., Room 29 reported his tablet was misplaced on Monday at 6:01 p.m. but it’s somewhere in the motel according to a tracking device. Will meet officer in the lobby. Officer reports property located.
Customer from Anna’s Alteration at 99 Central St. reported she dropped off a dress to have pearls sewn into the garment. But when her husband picked up the dress on Monday at 6:20 p.m. there were fake beads on the dress and the pearls were missing. Caller also said the shop owner was aggressive on the telephone. Officer reports it was a misunderstanding and the property was returned without incident.
Theft of a cell phone reported on Monday at 6:53 p.m. at CVS Pharmacy at 174 Main St. Manager called back to say cell phone was returned to the owner without incident.
Employee of Scrubbles at 23B Central St. reported a group of teen girls loitering, swearing, and refusing to leave on Monday at 8:01 p.m. Officer reports girls left prior to the arrival of police.
Report of a red car driving around the Sheffield Street neighborhood on Tuesday at 2:06 a.m. and stopping at random homes. Officer reported the area was checked and a red car was parked on the street.
Resident at 36 Keys Drive reports an argument and screaming in one of the apartments on Tuesday at 7:24 a.m. Officer reports the dispute was over a juvenile not wanting to go to school, there was no disturbance.
