A caller reported at 3:58 p.m. on Tuesday that their house on Ocean Avenue was egged the night before and they have it on security video. They stated they believed they could identify the suspect.
An off-duty firefighter called to report a 60-year-old woman at a bar on Atlantic Avenue “doing shots” and they were concerned as there was a 10-year-old with her. Responding officers found the woman and child left before they arrived so they went to their residence to check on them. They spoke with the granddaughter and everything checked out.

A report of a woman screaming somewhere in the area of Wilson Road at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday. She heard the screaming again 30 minutes later. Police report the noise is kids screaming while sledding. No issues.

Rizileia Carvalho, 41, of 159 Pearl St., Apt. 2, Somerville, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at 590 Lowell St. on Tuesday at 1:16 p.m. and charged with allowing an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle on Tuesday at 1:16 p.m.

Erand Tafa, 28, of 18 Beckett St., was summoned following a motor vehicle stop at the Peabody Library at 82 Main St. on Tuesday at 12:35 p.m. for operating a motor vehicle without a license. Phil’s Towing towed the vehicle.

Animal Control
Caller from 6 Crane Ave. reports her missing cat, Sammy, has been found in Danvers on Tuesday at 10:27 a.m. But the person who found him has taken the animal home to keep. Officer advised her to contact the person who has the cat and arrange to get him back. Officer suggested she file a police report and if they refuse to give him back, file a civil complaint.
Message was left for the Animal Control officer on Tuesday at 10:36 a.m. from a resident of the Fairweather Apartments at 20 Central St., Apt. 208, about a neighbor who does not leash his dog. On callback, the officer advised her the dog does not have to be leashed on the property and the man is not violating any city ordinances. Officer reports Nala, a Beagle mix, is vaccinated against rabies. Upon further review, it was learned Nala is unlicensed. A warning notice to license was sent to James Linsley at the Fairweather Apartments at 20 Central St., on Tuesday at 10:57 a.m.

Well-being check requested on Tuesday at 1:26 p.m. for a person walking on Route 128 South on Tuesday at 1:26 p.m. Officer located a disabled motor vehicle on the highway and is checking for the operator. Massachusetts State Police is on scene and is standing by while the operator changes his tire.
