A caller reported at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday that two parishioners at Star of the Sea reported receiving text messages from 774-316-0250 pretending to be Fr. Steele. They stated the caller asked them to get Google Play gift cards and send them over.
A caller reported a male party in a dark SUV has gone to the lot on Phillips Street, opened the rope gate, and has since gone in and out of the lot a few times. She stated she was unsure if it was drug related but she wanted an officer to check it out. Responding officers found the vehicle gone upon their arrival.
A caller reported a black Honda with three male occupants “smoking dope” on Lighthouse Lane at 4:05 p.m. on Thursday. Responding officers reported they were only smoking a cigar.
A caller reported someone next door on Stonybrook Road was using a hammer to try and knock the front door in at 4:52 p.m. on Thursday. Responding officers found it was the person who lived there and they got locked out.

Victor Romero, 22, of 65 Exeter St., Apt. F, Chelsea, was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at 213 Lynn St. on Wednesday at 5:24 p.m. for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to display the owner’s name. Vehicle towed by Phil’s Towing.
Clive Vernal, 23, of 190 Manchester St., Apt. 3, Manchester, N.H., was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at 2 Walnut and 3 Central streets on Thursday at 10:27 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Staff from the Peabody Check Cashing at 15 Main St. reports a man is upset that they are unable to cash his check and refuses to leave on Wednesday at 4:36 p.m. Customer was described as a white man with brown hair, 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a 3-year-old child. Officer reported the man left without incident.
Caller reports a motor vehicle with Massachusetts license plate no. 7ZH838 dumped boxes and trash behind the Peabody Municipal Light Plant at 58 Warren St. Extension on Wednesday at 4:52 p.m. Officer reports he told the occupants of the vehicle they are not welcome on Warren Street Extension.
On Wednesday at 5:34 p.m. there was a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Margin Street since Sunday. Officer reports the vehicle is legally parked and the owner lives in the neighborhood.
Employee from the Peabody Check Cashing at 15 Main St. reports a person made harassing telephone calls on Wednesday at 5:40 p.m. after they declined to cash his check. Officer reports caller left two voicemails to speak with management and said he would keep calling until he gets in touch. Officer will follow up.
Caller from 52 Goodale St. reported a telephone call from a foreign party impersonating a Social Security Administration employee advising her that her account has been compromised on Wednesday at 6:36 p.m. She did not provide the party with any personal information but was very concerned and wants to talk to police. Officer spoke with resident and confirmed it was a scam.

Caller from 2 Meredith Road wants to speak with an officer about an ongoing neighborhood dispute on Wednesday at 7:53 p.m. with a neighbor at 8 Samoset. Officer reports the issue is over recent yard work. Parties were advised to keep to themselves.
