LYNN — A 37-year-old Lynn man was seriously injured after he was stabbed and robbed by four men in a Central Avenue alleyway near Cal’s News Store on Monday afternoon, police said.
The man was stabbed in the abdomen with a folding knife during the assault and robbed of cash. He stumbled into the nearby Cal’s News for help after the attack, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
The man was in “serious condition” when he was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, but a further update on his condition was not available on Tuesday.
Police responded to the stabbing shortly after 3:30 p.m.
The incident is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
