On behalf of the Friends of the Lynnfield Rail Trail, thank you to supporters of the Wakefield-Lynnfield Rail Trail project and to those who provided feedback at meetings and workshops.
This was a significant step to proceed to final design. We look forward to the next phase, as well as being one step closer to getting the trail built.
We are confident the path will be viewed as a treasured asset for Lynnfield and Wakefield. It will be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, will foster a more connected community physically and socially, and make us a safer and healthier town.
Lastly, we see the election result as a clear mandate expressed by the voters. We look forward to the Board of Selectman supporting this project through its next phase without delay.
