LYNN — A Lynn man was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs after crashing his car into Stop & Shop on Wednesday morning, police said.
Felipe Diaz, 71, was charged with OUI drugs third offense, Class B drug (oxycodone) possession subsequent offense, operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Shortly before 11 a.m., Diaz drove his car into the Washington Street grocery store. There was some physical damage to the building and his car was towed, but Diaz was not injured, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
