NAHANT — Dance Dimensions and Forty Steps Dance will host a fundraising tango performance and workshop event on Wednesday, May 15, 7-9 p.m. Proceeds will support community performances.
This fun event will present Champion Tango dance couple from Colombia, Julian Cataño and Karla Rotavinsky, who will show off their moves and style at this intimate in-studio performance. Professional tango dancers, instructors and choreographers Cataño and Rotavinsky have been dancing together since 2017. The Colombian dance troupe “Bajucol” will also appear. A tango workshop will follow for all who would like to participate, with or without a partner.
Tickets are $15 per person and $25 for couples. All proceeds will benefit Forty Steps Dance community performances. Refreshments will be served. Seats are limited. Advanced sales recommended. The event will be at Dance Dimensions’ Nahant studio, Nahant Community Center, 41 Valley Road, in the Serenity Room.
