Behind a balanced attack, the Swampscott girls lacrosse team earned a 19-7 win over Northeastern Conference rival Revere Wednesday at Harry Della Russo Stadium.
Reese Robertson, Elizabeth Green, Harper Clopton and Grace DiGrande each scored four goals. Emerson Laundry added three goals.
Galie Sara Hamada-Mohamed made seven saves.
Swampscott (13-2) turns the page to Friday night’s (5:30) clash against Gloucester, when the Big Blue will celebrate their annual senior day/youth lacrosse day.
BOYS LACROSSE
Peabody 12, Manchester-Essex 4
Jack Houlden’s four goals led Peabody’s attack. Keenan Madden continued his solid stretch with three goals and one assist. Colby Therrien poured in two goals. Anthony Bettencourt, Connor McCarron and Nick Patturelli each scored one goal.
Austin Leggett made nine saves. Patrick Russo won 13 of 18 faceoffs.
BASEBALL
English 5, Salem 4
Juan Subervi’s game-winning single gave the Bulldogs a walk-off win at Fraser Field. Jomar Moreta got the start on the mound and allowed two earned runs on six hits over 4 2/3 innings. Ethan Labbe tossed 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
Erick Ubri (1-for-4) drove in two runs. Subervi, Jose Morel and Anthony Mateo each had one RBI.
The Bulldogs (11-4) host Danvers Thursday (7).
Gloucester 6, Swampscott 1
Fishermen pitcher Zach Abbott struck out nine as Gloucester handed Swampscott its second consecutive loss.
Dylan January accounted for Swampscott’s lone run with a solo home run, his sixth of the season, in the bottom of the fourth.
Gloucester scored three in the top of the seventh, two on Marcus Montagnino’s 2-run home run, to put it away.
“They beat us,” Swampscott coach Joe Caponigro said. “Nick Reiser went the distance and I thought he pitched a good game. We’re playing six games in seven days so we need guys to eat up as many innings as they can.”
Swampscott (9-7) plays the continuation of a tied game at Beverly Thursday (4).
BC High 2, St. John’s 1 (F/8)
Matt Remley gave the Eagles five solid innings on the mound but St. John’s bats went quiet. Will Potdevin (1-for-3, RBI) drove in Max Freedman (1-for-3, run) with the Eagles’ only run.
St. John’s dropped to 12-4 with the loss. The Eagles travel to Beverly Friday (4).
Beverly 12, Marblehead 1
Schuyler Schmitt (0-for-2) plated Aidan Michaud (1-for-1) with Marblehead’s lone run in the top of the sixth. Chris Gally got the start on the mound and allowed five earned runs on six hits over three innings.
The Magicians (8-7) visit Salem Friday (4).
Revere 8, Malden 5
The Patriots got back on track behind a complete-game effort from pitcher Matt Cravotta, who logged 10 strikeouts.
Brandon Sarmanian (3-for-3, four RBI) and Jonathan Murphy (3-for-4, three RBI) carried Revere’s offense.
The Patriots host Somerville Friday (4).
SOFTBALL
Beverly 9, Marblehead 7
Beverly (11-5) trailed 7-6 in the top of the seventh, when Julia Pitman tripled in a pair of runs. Beverly held on in the bottom of the seventh to earn the win.
Emily Stilwell earned the victory in the circle.
Shayla Barker went 3-for-4 to lead Beverly, while Rona Scott went 2-four-4, with four RBI, including a 3-run home run.
Gloucester 10, Swampscott 1
Katie Watts went 2-for-3 with a double and Tiara Teel went 1-for-2.
Swampscott (2-13) hopes to bounce back Thursday (4:45) when the Big Blue host Saugus.
Winthrop 4, Weston 3
Cali Patterson led the way for Winthrop on offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Bella Perrotti went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one stolen base. In the circle, Stephanie Strangie earned the win after tossing seven innings and allowing three runs on five hits with eight strikeouts.
Winthrop (4-10) plays at Salem Thursday (4).
Lynnfield 12, Masconomet 7
Chloe Shapleigh (3-for-4, 2 runs) had a double, triple and drove in four runs. Allie Wing (3-for-4, double) and Taylor Tringali (2-for-3, RBI, 2 runs scored) along with Masco’s seniors were honored before the game as part of Lynnfield’s senior day.. The highlight of the game was a 1-2-3, bases-loaded double play turned by starting pitcher Reilly Ganter to catcher Wing to first baseman Sadie Gearan in the first inning to keep Masco off the board.
Lynnfield closes the regular season at 11-7.
BOYS TENNIS
Marblehead 5, Beverly 0
Winners were Billy Ackerman (6-1, 6-0 at first singles), Dan Litvak (6-1, 6-1 at second singles), Adam Sherf (6-3, 6-0 at third singles), Tony Gluskin/Vittorio Mariotti (6-4, 6-4 at first doubles) and Jack Curran/Ben Farfel (6-1, 6-2 at second doubles).
