Complaints
A caller reported at 10:27 a.m. on Wednesday that she applied for a job online and was hired. She stated she received a check in the mail for “office supplies” and she thinks it was a scam so she didn’t deposit it. Responding officers reported it was indeed a scam.
A walk-in reported at 11:32 a.m. on Wednesday there was a Ryder truck illegally parked at Atlantic Avenue and Central Street. He stated he tried to pull out and he was nearly hit by a car coming inbound. Responding officers reported the truck was gone on arrival.
A walk-in went into Central Fire at 1:01 p.m. on Wednesday and requested his ring be cut off as he was bloating and couldn’t get it off.
A walk-in reported at 2:11 p.m. on Wednesday that his computer was hacked and he has been receiving phone messages from four different numbers.
A caller reported an outside odor of gas at Gregory and Barnard streets at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday. Responding officers found a leak on Gregory Street and contacted National Grid, who reported it as a grade three leak.
A caller reported a tree branch came down on wires at Ware Lane and Rose Avenue at 7:09 p.m. on Wednesday.

Arrests
Ethan R. Graziose, 35, of 45 Atlantic Ave., Saugus, was arrested on Tuesday at 7:59 p.m. following a hit and run crash at 7-Eleven at 79 Lowell St. and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
Chhorvorn Ream, 30, of 22 Whiting St., Apt. 2, Lynn, was arrested on Wednesday at 6:38 a.m. after his car was disabled at 0 Lynnfield and 147 Summit streets. He was arrested for one warrant out of Newbury District Court and operating a motor vehicle with an expired license. Arrington Towing has the vehicle.

Cleriston Santiago Do Nascimen, 40, of 21 Addison St., Gloucester, was summoned following a traffic stop at 95 Main St. on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Hit and run crash reported on Tuesday at 8:28 p.m. at the Wardhurst Shish Kabob & Steakhouse at 31 Lynnfield St. Caller said his vehicle was struck by a light-colored sedan in the parking lot and took off. Officer reports minor damage to vehicle, function at the restaurant, party will handle with the company.
Motor vehicle stuck up against the wall at 210 Washington St. on Wednesday at 2:25 a.m. Officer reports Arrington Tow removed vehicle.
Motor vehicle crash reported at Peabody Shell at 85 Lynnfield St. on Wednesday at 6:31 a.m. Reporting party said a white man in black Honda Civic rear-ended his vehicle near Washington and Colfax streets. The Honda then pulled into Shell Gas at Lynn and Lynnfield streets.
Report of delivery truck driver damaged an awning at Care One at Peabody Glen at 199 Andover St. on Wednesday at 1:31 p.m. Officer requested to make a report and speak with manager Ryan Murphy. Officer said an unknown truck struck the awning causing $200 worth of damage.
Report of a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday at 2:35 p.m. near 596 Lowell and 2 Johnson streets. Officer stated that the operators exchanged their own information.

Well-being check requested on Tuesday at 3:51 p.m. at 5 Holten St., Apt. 2 from a 13-year-old girl who reports she is concerned for a friend who sent out text messages to multiple friends saying “Goodbye.” Officer contacted the mother at the home and the juvenile in question is in a program at Salem Hospital.
Resident at 4 Britton Road reports a suspicious man walking in her backyard toward the pond on Tuesday at 3:57 p.m. He is described as a white male in his 60s with a gray jacket. Officer spoke with resident and the incident actually occurred earlier this morning, issue is over fishing.
Anonymous caller reports possible drug dealing at the Gardner Apartments at 22 Pulaski St. between a red Ford sedan and a gray Honda sedan parked in the guest parking area in the rear on Tuesday 6:18 p.m. Officer reports parties sent on their way.
Disturbance reported at 19 Andover St. on Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. Officer checked the area and there was no noise. The Peabody Municipal Light Plant is working across the street.
