LYNN — A 26-year-old Lynn man was arrested on drug trafficking and firearms charges after police seized heroin, fentanyl and other drugs from his home on Tuesday afternoon.
Jancarlos Oquendo was charged with trafficking more than 10 grams of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute heroin, Xanax and marijuana, firearm possession with intent to distribute, firearm use in a felony, unlawful improper storage of a firearm and reckless endangerment of a child.
Shortly after 2 p.m., the Lynn Police Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 34 South Elm St. and seized 16 grams of fentanyl, six grams of heroin, more than 500 Xanax pills, a small amount of marijuana, 14 grams of an unknown substance, $1,899 in cash and a firearm, according to Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec.
Two children were present at the residence during the search and subsequent arrest, Kmiec said.
