SAUGUS — One person was arrested after a car crash on Route 107 sent a vehicle into the woods.
Geremias Santosjuarez, 29, of Lynn, was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene after causing personal injury.
Shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday, multiple 911 callers reported a car fire with a person possibly trapped inside. When police arrived, everybody was out of the car and it was not on fire, said Giorgetti.
Police later discovered a second vehicle about 20 feet from the road in the woods.
The two, a 2003 Toyota Sequoia allegedly driven by Santosjuarez and a 2016 Honda Civic, collided, said Giorgetti.
G/J towing used a crane to remove the Honda from the woods. One person was treated for minor injuries.
