NAHANT — State Police say a beachgoer’s claim that a man exposed himself on Long Beach Thursday was unfounded.
Shortly before 6:30 p.m., a woman reported to Lynn Police that a white man wearing a blue shirt and shorts committed an indecent or lewd activity — exposed himself — near the bath house on Long Beach. Lynn Police notified Nahant Police, who called State Police, according to the Nahant Police Log.
The man was reportedly last seen walking on the beach toward Nahant, according to State Police spokesman Dave Procopio.
Three cruisers responded to search the area but could not locate the man. They also could not locate the woman who called, who had apparently left the scene, said Procopio.
The investigation was called off around 7:10 p.m.
