SAUGUS — Several roads across town are being repaved.
Ballard Street, Forest Street, Elmwood Avenue, Fairmount Avenue, Adams Avenue, Orcutt Avenue, Stone Street, Lewis Street and Landers Street are undergoing milling, overlay paving and roadway reclamation.
“Ensuring the functionality and safety of the town’s roadways is always of critical importance,” said Town Manager Scott Crabtree. “Safe roadways improve traffic flow and reduce congestion and accidents, which will benefit town residents and visitors every day, making it easier for everyone to get to where they need to be.”
The project is expected to be completed by October.
Parking is limited in work zones during construction and traffic detours will be enforced as required to allow for the work to be completed.
Last year, Alvah Street, Innis Street, Pleasant Avenue, Howard Farm Lane, Mader Street, Walnut Street, Fairmount Avenue, Adams Avenue, Plymouth Street, Williams Avenue, Morris Place and parts of Elm Street were repaved.
