Lynnfield schools closed Thursday due to storm

Superintendent of Schools Jane Tremblay closed the Lynnfield Public Schools Thursday following reports of power outages and fallen trees.

A swift moving overnight storm with high winds and rain took tree limbs and wires down town wide, Crews are working to clear streets and restore power, according to a notice sent to residents early today.

To report downed trees and wires causing an obstruction to streets or a risk to public safety, call the Police Department at 781-334-3131. If you have an emergency, please call 911.
