SAUGUS — Anthony Cogliano and Corinne Riley were chosen chair and vice chair for the Board of Selectmen in a vote taken Wednesday night shortly after the new panel was sworn in.
They replace outgoing chair Debra Panetta and vice chair Jeff Cicolini, both of whom won re-election Tuesday night.
Cogliano topped the balloting for selectmen with 2,710 votes, followed by Riley with 2,191.
Panetta and Cicolini were the only two from the previous board to win re-election. The other two, Scott Brazis and Jennifer D’Eon were defeated. The other selectman, Mark Mitchell, did not run for re-election.
