LYNN — Five people were arrested after police seized a large amount of fentanyl from an Essex Street home Thursday morning.
Shortly after 6 a.m., the Lynn Police Drug Task Force and State Police executed a search warrant at 343 Essex St., and seized 192 grams of fentanyl, cocaine, prescription pills, $846 in cash and a handgun, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
Angel Avelino, of 526 Western Ave., was arrested on warrant charges of Class B drug possession, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and no inspection/sticker.
Diogenes Gutierrez, 47, of 343 Essex St., was arrested and charged with fentanyl trafficking, Class B and C drug possession with intent to distribute, Class E drug distribution and numerous firearm charges.
Amy May, 43, of 31 Lyman St., was arrested and charged with Class B drug possession and motor vehicle violations.
Scott Thibodeau, 62, of 343 Essex St., was arrested and charged with fentanyl trafficking.
Aysha Young, of 343 Essex St., was arrested on warrant charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, arrestee furnishing false ID information and disorderly conduct.
