Police partially reopened Lynnway traffic at 2:40 p.m. Friday as Water and Sewer crews worked to repair a water main break at Lynnway and Shepard Street.
Traffic was diverted in the direction of Boston off the Lynnway onto Blossom Street after 1 p.m. for just over an hour.
Initial reports of heavy flooding at the Shepard Street intersection included a report of a trapped car. Traffic detours triggered a ripple effect that entangled West Lynn and downtown traffic.
