LYNN — A 20-year-old Lynn man is facing drug trafficking charges after more than 300 grams of heroin was found in his car during a traffic stop Sunday night, police said.
Jonathan Salerna, of 39 Cottage St., was arrested and charged with trafficking 200-plus grams of heroin, marijuana possession with intent to distribute, and motor vehicle violations.
Salerna was pulled over on West Green Street shortly after 6 p.m. for a motor vehicle violation, and taken into custody for driving without a license, Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.
During an inventory search of his car before it was towed, police found 316 grams of heroin, which has an estimated street value of $31,600, about 2½ ounces of marijuana, a scale and other drug paraphernalia, Kmiec said.
