SAUGUS – Saugus Police are investigating a crash that occurred near the intersection of Main Street and the Lynn Fells Parkway around 10 a.m. Friday morning involving a 2017 Honda Civic and an ambulance operated by Armstrong Ambulance Service.
A press release from the department stated two additional ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
A 72-year-old woman in the ambulance was not injured in the crash, and a 19-year-old woman who was operating the civic sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both were transported to nearby hospitals.
Neither of the workers inside the ambulance were injured in the crash and the street was partially closed as police and EMTs responded to the scene.
