Oprah Winfrey’s former chief of staff, Elizabeth “Libby” Moore, will be the keynote speaker at Endicott College’s inaugural North Shore Women’s Forum on Saturday, Feb. 29.
Described in a press release as an intergenerational, collaborative gathering for women to celebrate the new decade, the program will offer workshops to help attendees “architect their own life’s adventure.”
A one-time Marblehead resident and class of ’84 Endicott alumna, Moore is a certified life coach and the founder of LoveX Global, as well as an international speaker and storyteller who says she loves inspiring people to open new possibilities in their lives and careers.
She began her own career on the North Shore working at WFNX Radio, Marblehead Reporter, and WNSH Radio.
“How exciting to be able to come back to Endicott to share the past 35 years of my own unexpected life’s journey with the women of the North Shore,” said Moore in a statement. “The path has not been a predictable one, and I am so grateful for that!”
Moore’s speech will be followed by two motivational workshops that will demonstrate strategies to help women envision measurable personal outcomes.
In a separate interview with the Item, Moore said the forum’s main focus will be providing women with tools to tell their own stories on their own terms.
“It’s about your story, the story that you tell, and about rewriting your story constantly,” she said. “My story, even now, is still unfolding at 53. I don’t know what it will be a month from now.”
Other Inventure 2020 leaders include Katie Kilty, a sports management professor at Endicott and a certified Dare to Lead facilitator, Lindsey Shrayer, the assistant director of Endicott College’s Counseling Center, and Bobbie Carlton, the founder of the country’s premier speaker bureau platforms.
